Winter 2020 Update

On behalf of TSI, we wish all of our members and friends from the Pop:Re community a Merry Christmas and happy new year. It’s been a while since our last update, hopefully the information below will fill readers in on what’s new in TSI and the populous community.

Giving Tournament and Leagues:

In December 2020 Ice-t and Leaf hosted the Giving Tournament. It was a new and exciting format that consisted of two teams each with a team captain that drafted their own teams. The two teams led by Tundar and Keith52 were The Tundras ([TS]Marcus was a members of the Tundras) and Team Clean Sweep. The Tundras ended up winning the tournament 3-2. Find all the details as well as videos of the matches in this thread (original concept). Congratulations to Ice and the tournament organizers on hosting possibly the most successful tournament in Pop:re history. And congratulations to Marcus and The Tundras for winning the tournament.

During the last ever seasonal league (season 10) [TSI]Marcus and Ice-t_TSI finished 2^nd and 3^rd respectively. Congratulations on this amazing accomplishment!

Some time since the last clan update, TSI has made it’s way into the top ten of the all time clan leagues table and currently sits at #8. This is a testament to TSI’s activity and longevity within the populous community, great work!

TSI currently boasts three players within the top fifteen on the pop:re skill leagues. TSI, as always, remains competitive at the top levels of populous.Click here for a screenshot of the leagues as of 12-24-20

Updated Member List:

Not a lot has changed in regards to our personnel but take a look below for our current member list. TSI’s newest member is [TSI]Fake better known as psycho. Congratulations on becoming a member!

We now have our own discord space! It’s a great way to communicate and stay in touch with other members and other members of the populous community. It’s hosted in the Dakiny server. If you are a TSI member ask Marcus, Ice, or anyone with the Aedile role for access to the TSI section.

Populous News:

A lot has happened in populous as well since the last update. The Beta version of populous has made it’s debut and it allows for some amazing additions to the game like no limits on buildings or population, up to 8 player games, and many bug fixes. There is also a new co-op campaign that can be played (courtesy of beta) with a friend. Be sure to check it out if you haven’t!

The first beta tournament is currently in its sign up stage. Details available here.

The Members List, Videos, Downloads, and Links pages have been updated. Stay tuned for an update to the popular “Get to Know TSI” page.

Winter Update 2016-2017

TSI was once one of the most active clans in the Populous community. Life gets in the way and we don't have as much time to spare playing as we used to, as result the clan is, compared to what it once was, rather inactive.

People from the clan still log in the matchmaker and often you see at least one of the remaining members there, but the amount of games played doesn't equal the activity on the chat.

I try to join the matchmaker at least once a month to catch up with friends and to read all the jokes and banter that is part of the populous community. However I don't think I'll be ever as active as once I was, and I believe this is the case for most of us.

Still Populous will be always a big part of my life and I'll come back and eventually play, even though I'm way worse than I once was.

Just to remember, three or four years ago this was our lineup and we were all in strong positions, some of these members left the game, some left the clan, and a few are better players now (not my case haha):

Autumn Update

   Wow! It has been a few months since TSI's last update and a ton of things have happened. TSI has welcomed new members and recruits, and some old members have come back, it has continued to post solid clan leagues points and had one really active member of the month! We have had a lot of fun the past few months, read on to find out what has happened in them.

   As I said previously it has been a while since TSI's last update and we need to recognize the member of the months for the past months and thank them for their activity. Starting in April we had a tie between Marcus- and Toruk_Makto both getting 23 points respectively. This is the first time that has ever happened in the history of Member of the month, great job guys! Member of the month for May was Toruk again. For the last four months (June-September) the member of the month has been Android_17! This four month streak is the tied for the longest member of the month streak in TSI history which was set by Marcus in 2011. Congratulations Edwaard (Android_17)! Will Ed beat the Marcus' streak and hold the record for TSI? We will have to wait until September is over and find out in the next clan update. Until then good luck Ed and have fun!

   In clan leagues TSI has been excelling compared to other clans. We have always been in the top ten and last month posted fourth! This is a great accomplishment considering our size compared to other clans. Last month Pop:Re released a clan league table showing the all time point totals of the every clan in the history of Pop:Re. TSI is 11th of all clans in Pop:Re's 11 year history. This is especially surprising considering how new TSI is compared to the other clans! We are the only clan in the top 15 that is under three years old. All of the other clans in top 15 are at least four or five years old! This proves TSI's excellence in terms of activity. We want to thank all the members who helped us get to where we are today.

   TSI has grown since the last update with a few new members and recruits that we want to welcome into the clan! TSI welcomes loothill and Hatake_Kakashi as recruits of the clan. We hope in due time they will become members of TSI. We want to welcome Maganha, Shocks, and PanasonixMX2 as members of TSI! Shocks is an older player who recently returned back to populous while Maganha and Panasonix have both joined Pop:Re earlier this year. All three of them have been very active in matchmaker and forums and bring a lot to TSI in terms of skill, activity and friendship. We are very happy to have them in TSI and hopefully they have an awesome time in it as well.

   The website is in the process of being updated so everything is active and runs smoothly. During the updates we are also going to include a new page with the history of TSI! This page will include the whole story of TSI from its start to where it is now. It will include all the stories that you may have previously not known. Make sure you watch for the new page to show up as it is sure to be a great and interesting read.

Happy Birthday TSI!

   TSI celebrated its second birthday last Friday. It is now officially been two years since the clan was accepted. Since its creation TSI has been one of the most active clans of Pop:Re at least posting 100 points for clan leagues every month since its creation! Not many clans can say the same thing about their own activity. Through the years TSI has created two map packs, been 2nd in clan leagues, and has had an awesome time playing Populous with each other and with the rest of the Pop:Re community. We want to thank our members for making this possible and being active and great friends. We hope to celebrate many more birthdays in the future.

   Since it has been awhile since the last update we will fill you in on some news about TSI from the last couple months.

   In March TSI created another map pack TSI: Epic Battles. It is filled with awesome and fun maps! Maps include:

   We encourage all of you, TSI and non-members to play this fun filled map pack. Many of the maps have very original and new concepts you have never seen before and are sure to keep you guessing with some awesome effects and so many different strategies that can be used.    The member of the month for the past months (January-March) has been Ezra for January and February and Toruk_Makto for March. Thanks for your activity guys!

   Since you last update TSI has also had two new members! Thiagoh and DevilKazuya. Thiagoh is a veteran Populous player who has been in previous clans with TSI members and always been good friends with TSI. We are very glad to have him in our clan! DevilKazuya is a new Populous player who since joining TSI has been very active and even contributed greatly to our new map pack TSI: Epic Battles. Welcome to TSI guys!

   The website also has seen some changes in the recent months. Including a new page! The new page is called the "Get to know TSI" page and has each TSI member and a short description about them so community can get to know TSI a little better.

Winter Update

It has been a while since TSI's last update and a lot has gone on! Some new members and other things just to name a few! First off I would like to welcome new members [TSI]DevilJin and [TSI]Wesker! Both have been very active and should bring a lot to TSI.

TSI has posted solid clan leagues numbers finishing 10th in August, 9th in September, 6th in October, and 8th in November. Thanks for the activity guys! Also TSI would like to congratulate its members of the month the last couple of months! Congratulations to [TSI]The_Dark who was member of the month for August and [TSI]Android_17 who was member of the month for September, October, and November! Great job guys! Also there has been one name change [TSI]Amelie changed her name back to [TSI]Midori since the last update.

An update on TSI Worlds: It is doing very well and being played a lot by both TSI members and people who are not in this great clan. Some members have expressed interest in making maps for TSI and to those who are interested check the forum where Ezra made a thread about it!

Also it is winter and that means Christmas and other holidays are coming! We here at TSI wish that everyone has a wonderful Christmas and that it can be safe and fun at the same time! Merry Christmas!

Summer Update

   Hey guys its been a while since the last update so here it is! We would like to wish Ezra a happy birthday his was on July 30th! We really appreciate everything he does for TSI! Since our last update we also gained two new members! PK and Toruk_Makto. Welcome guys so glad to have you!

   TSI has been posting solid and consistent numbers in clan leagues fortifying it as one of the most active clans in Populous Reincarnated. Also name changes include Anhangah to Ezra and Midori to Amelie.

   TSI is now recruiting! It is launching a campaign called TSI Next Generation. If you are interesting in joining TSI contact any member! Or apply on the forum. All are welcome to apply.

June Update: TSI Worlds Released; Sorrow achieves Member status

   What an exciting start the summer TSI has had. With TSI worlds being released and multiple applications! TSI was again very solid in clan leagues with stout activity. Member of the month for May is Marcus the honorable mention is Ice-T. Name changes include Dragonette to Midori, Anhangah to Ezra, and ponyboy to marcus-.

   TSI worlds was approved May 15th! We here at TSI would like to thank our map pack makers especially to make this possible and the hard work they had to put in to make quality maps. The three who have mastered the craft of map packing are Ice-T, DarkEcoLord456, and Cuckoo. Thanks guys so much for the hard work it really payed off! There is also a new poll that you can vote for your favorite map in TSI worlds so feel more than welcome to do that!

   We have had two applications to start the summer off, unfortunately Melek didn't make the cut due to a porous application and wasn't even voted on but is welcome to reapply in a months time. Sorrow also applied to TSI only a couple days ago and made it to the voting stage where he had a perfect all yes's to get in! Congratulations Sorrow we hope that your stay here is an awesome time.

   Thanks for reading and on a personal note one of our members Midori is moving so we wish her the best of luck with that and we hope that her new home is as good to her as her last so that is why she may not be in matchmaker as much. Have fun Midori!

April Update - Happy Birthday TSI

    Happy Birthday TSI!!! On April 24 TSI turned one years old. TSI has been one of the most prosperous and active clans of the last year and has proved every doubter wrong in Pop:Re about itself. Many people at this time thought TSI would have been dead but it is still here today with a strong member base and active forums, much more active than any other clan that was made after it. We here at TSI would like to thank our member base for their loyalty and activity.

   In other news and updates we must welcome a new member into TSI. Welcome Midori! ([Tsi]Dragonette) Midori is a skilled player who has decided to join TSI and we are very excited about having her here and it will for sure be a great time! Welcome again Midori.

   TSI finished solidly in March for clan leagues. The member of the month for March was [Tsi]Anhangah with 44 points! Congratulations Ezra! Honorable mention goes to Ice-T_TSI with 43 monthly point. What a close race! Two name changes happened also, [Tsi]Jonathon- to [Tsi]FullMetalJacket and [Tsi]adray to [Tsi]dragon-.

TSI would like to take this time to once again thank their loyal member base. TSI March Update

TSI again had a solid showing in clan leagues finishing second for the month in February and also again first in points per member proving its activity (table shown below). Name changes for February include [TSI]gohan to [TSI]adray.

For those of you who have been wondering what happened to the TSI map pack project we have good news. TSI Worlds have been submitted to Pop:Re and are pending approval by the map pack checkers. Check here and Pop:Re matchmaker daily for its release.

TSI of the month for February was [TSI]Anhangah for a second time in a row. His 80 points was enough to claim the title. A shout out goes to [TSI]Android_17 with an honorable 69 points.

February Update TSI #1

TSI had a very strong showing in January in the top ranks in every category for clan leagues during the month of January. It posted 3rd in clan leagues and 1st for points per member! Below are the tables.
